Efecto clínico y antibacteriano de la Copaifera reticulata como apoyo al tratamiento de la periodontitis en diabéticos tipo 2

Introducción: en la actualidad el uso de productos naturales son una opción tratamiento diversas enfermedades, como bien podría ser oleorresina copaiba, que presenta propiedades podrían usadas un coadyuvante periodontitis. Objetivo: determinar efecto clínico y antibacteriano Copaifera reticulata (C. reticulata) «copaiba» apoyo a terapia periodontal no quirúrgica (TPNQ) periodontitis pacientes diabéticos tipo 2. Material métodos: se identificaron 40 zonas homólogas con las hemiarcadas del maxilar superior o inferior 20 2, registrándose variables clínicas: profundidad al sondaje (PS), nivel inserción clínica (NIC), sangrado (SS) color encía (CE); también tomaron muestras biofilm subgingival sangre, para recuento bacteriano determinación hemoglobina glucosilada (HbA1c), respectivamente. Se evaluaron dos por paciente, formando grupo control periodontitis, cual recibió TPNQ más clorhexidina estudio C. reticulata. Los valores obtenidos fueron procesados mediante pruebas estadísticas Wilcoxon Fisher. Resulta- dos: PS tuvo diferencia comparación entre los grupos antes después 2.0 ± 0.79 mm 2.05 0.89 mm, Para NIC fue 2.35 0.93 0.58 respectivamente, encontrando diferencias significativas ambos indicadores (p > 0.05). El SS redujo 95 90% estudio. En relación este mostró reducción grupos, observándose menor cantidad unidades formadoras colonias (UFC), Conclusiones: similar comportamiento clorhexidina, obteniéndose efectos similares indicado- res clínicos microbiológicos.
